Spring has sprung....

...and while we're in a bit of a cold snap right now NYC couldn't be better than it is in the spring, except maybe in the fall. Life is good right now. A well timed raise kicked in last month and made life better and Alison got me tickets for the Agnostic Front show in Long Island at the end of the month as an early birthday gift. I can't believe that in less than a month I officially round up to 40. Damn.

In other news, I got a new phone. It's internet enabled and capable of all sorts of neat stuff that I won't pay extra for, so really, it's a lot like my old phone but it's got a touch screen and a better camera. It took me a few days to figure it out. I'm not sure if phones are getting more complicated or I'm getting older and therefore less technologically inclined. I'm pretty sure it's the first option, but not positive. It could be a bit of both.

The Cobra Skulls show a few weeks back was excellent, though again, they played too short a set. I got to have beer with the band before hand which was cool. Very nice, down to earth guys who appreciate their fans which is always nice to see. I keep preaching about this band but really, they're the best thing to happen to left leaning punk rock in a long long time. Smart lyrics, catchy songs, and a great stage presence with loads of energy. They just got signed to Fat Wreck, so see them now and you can tell people 'I saw them when...'

It's good to have movies like Rock N Roll High School, Django, City Of The Living Dead and 36th Chamber Of Shaolin on Blu-ray.

That is all.
